8 Unusual but effective beauty tips

Due to an overload of misinformation and constant beauty advice from various sources, we’ve become quite skeptical about any beauty suggestions that deviate from the norm. However, if you’re still open to trying new things, here are some purportedly effective tips that stand out.

Coffee or chamomile hair mask for color refreshment

  1. To refresh your hair color, rinse dark hair with a cup of black coffee, and light hair with chamomile. Put on a plastic cap and rinse after half an hour. Chamomile will restore a beautiful shine to blond hair, while coffee will refresh the color of dark hair and add dimension. Coffee and chamomile are among the most effective natural hair masks for color refreshment. In some cases, coffee can even reduce the visibility of gray hair regrowth between dye sessions.

Toothpaste dries out pimples

  1. If you want to quickly dry out a pimple, apply a small amount of toothpaste to it and leave it on overnight. The antibacterial ingredients in toothpaste will also act on the bacteria that have accumulated in the pimple. This way, you can quickly dry out the pimple without damaging your skin.

Hair conditioner softens all hair and whiskers

  1. If you’ve run out of shaving gel or cream, use hair conditioner. Regular soap can dry out your skin, so hair conditioner is a much better option. It’s not advisable to use regular soap for shaving as it doesn’t soften the hair, which can irritate the skin.

You can glue a broken nail

  1. You can fix a chipped nail using instant glue. Let it dry, and then apply your favorite nail polish over it. There are also purpose-made nail glues available, but regular glue can serve the purpose in a pinch as it’s widely available in supermarkets, kiosks, or gas stations.

Face cream tames unruly eyebrows

  1. If your eyebrows have been unruly lately and look messy, brush them with an old toothbrush and then apply some moisturizing cream to them. If they are still unruly, apply a little hair spray to the eyebrow brush to shape them.

If you can’t wash and dry your hair

  1. To freshen up your hair’s scent, take a sheet of old newspaper and rub your hair with it. The newspaper should absorb odors. Then, put a few drops of your favorite perfume on a comb or hairbrush and comb your hair with it. If you don’t have newspapers handy, you can use a towel with a very small amount of baby powder on it to rub your hair, which will absorb odors without leaving traces.

Scented soap is effective for refreshing clothes

  1. To make your clothes smell nicer, buy scented soap that matches your favorite perfume and place it in your closet. Your clothes will take on a subtle fragrance, and you’ll smell like your favorite perfume even when you haven’t applied it.

Olive oil and sugar make an excellent scrub

  1. If you’ve run out of exfoliating scrub, mix a bit of olive oil with fine sugar. Massage it into your skin, then rinse with lukewarm water. This is a gentle and mild natural facial scrub that works for almost all skin types. Despite seeming counterproductive, even oily skin can benefit from an olive oil scrub as it can temporarily help control excess sebum production.

It’s worth noting that with any “natural remedy,” just like with store-bought products, you should discontinue use and thoroughly rinse the treated area if any reaction occurs.
