A fascinating new trend has been sweeping the internet lately – the practice of refrigerating toilet paper. As soon as the pack of toilet paper is opened, the rolls are taken out and placed on one of the refrigerator shelves.

Interestingly, it has been scientifically proven that toilet paper can be effective in eliminating unpleasant odors. Strong odors from fish, fresh meat, and certain vegetables can sometimes become overpowering. Additionally, the moisture from condensation (which occurs when the refrigerator isn’t cold enough) can also contribute to these unwanted smells.

And here’s where toilet paper comes to the rescue. Over time, the paper absorbs both liquids and odors. After one to two weeks, you can simply dispose of it.

To further combat unpleasant odors, you can also place a bowl of water with lemon or a cup of ground coffee inside the fridge.

Of course, it goes without saying that regular cleaning of the refrigerator is essential, preferably at least once a month. Using warm water with a little vinegar and dish detergent works best for this purpose.
